UK adds New Mexico State to 2016 schedule

Kentucky completed its nonconference schedule for 2016 with the addition of New Mexico State. The Cats will play the Aggies on September 17, 2016 in Commonwealth Stadium.

New Mexico State replaces UAB which disbanded its football program and then brought it back for 2017. The Aggies are coached by former Wildcat Doug Martin who played at UK from 1981-1984. He later coached briefly at Kentucky.

According to fbschedules.com, Kentucky will pay NMSU 1.3 million dollars for the game. Other nonconference opponents in 2016 are Southern Mississippi, Austin Peay and Louisville.
