Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis has exhausted another legal outlet

The Federal Court of Appeals has upheld a high profile ruling involving marriage equality and the first amendment. Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis has exhausted another legal outlet, in her attempt to stymie the Supreme Court’s ruling on marriage equality. Davis has refused to issue marriage licenses to any couple in the wake of the decision, and has been ordered by a circuit judge to resume her duties but was given a stay until her case could be heard by the court of appeals. Last night that body decided to uphold the injunction ordering Davis to resume the duties of her office and begin issuing marriage licenses. A member of Davis’ legal council says that she could appeal to the Supreme Court, but he was not sure what course she would take.
