An Eastern Kentucky county is taking litter seriously

Officials in Perry County have started a program angled at ending the litter problem. Right now three trail cameras have been installed at different high traffic location in the county. According to Perry County Judge Executive Scott Alexander having a dirty county can hurt the tourism industry and hamper business growth. While they are keeping the locations of two of the camera a secret one will be placed on Crawford Mountain road. Perry County is starting with these three cameras now, but they hope to expand to six by the end of the year. In Kentucky individuals caught littering can face a fine of 500 dollars and up to a year in prison.
