Two Arrested in Laurel County Following Jeep Theft Investigation

On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals following an investigation into theft of a reported stolen Jeep Wrangler from Robinson Creek Road near Lily. The Jeep was reported stolen on July 4, 2018 and found abandoned off Glenview Road on July 6, 2018, north of London. Following an investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s office and the development of leads from local businesses who had video footage of possible suspects occupying the vehicle, deputies and detectives arrested two individuals, identified 30-year-old Jeremiah Smith of Lily, and 35-year-old Angela Smith of Corbin. Both were charged with receiving stolen property and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
