Leslie County Man Dies From Injuries Suffered in Collision

A Leslie County man has died after being injured in a vehicle crash earlier in the week. Kentucky State Police Post 13 was advised of the crash around 8:10am Monday, August 6, 2018, advising of a three vehicle collision on the Hal Rogers Parkway. Preliminary investigation determined that a 2000 Honda CRV was traveling east on the Parkway. The CRV cross the center line and entered the westbound lane where it sideswiped a 2005 Ford Ranger driven by Donald Jackson of Isom. The Honda continued eastbound, colliding head-on with a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe drive by 41-year-old Sherry Miller of Big Creek in Perry County. The Honda overturned, causing the driver, 54-year-old Bobby Morgan, of Stinnet, to be ejected. Trans Star Ambulance transported Sherry Miller, Donald Jackson and his passenger, Daisy Jackson, to Hazard ARH Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Morgan was flown to Holston Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. KSP Post 13 was notified of Morgan’s death at 2:03am the morning of Thursday, August 9, 2018. Contributing factors to the cause of the crash have not been determined.
