Two Arrested for Drug Possession in Knox County

On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, around 10pm, Knox County Deputy Hunter Lottrell observed a vehicle stop in the roadway of Wilton Lake Road while patrolling the Woodbine area. After seeing the deputy, the driver pulled into a driveway, and the deputy pulled in behind him. While checking the driver, identified as 60-year-old Loren Johnson of Williamsburg, several Gabapentin tablets were located hidden on his person. Additionally, suspected methamphetamine and several ingredients used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were located inside the vehicle. Johnson and his passenger, 48-year-old Meretta Rains, were arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
