Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12 Snowfighters are preparing roads in advance of anticipated winter weather. Plow trucks will be on the roads spreading salt brine, which prevents snow and ice from bonding to the pavement, making plowing and cleanup faster, easier, and safer. District 12 covers seven counties, including Lawrence, Johnson, Martin, Floyd, Knott, Pike, and Letcher.
