UPIKE Announces Fifth Annual Film and Media Arts Festival April 4-6, 2019

The University of Pikeville is hosting its fifth annual Film and Media Arts Festival April 4-6 in Booth Auditorium. Created to promote the art of filmmaking in the region, the student-run event is now accepting film and screenplay submissions for the festival. Students in college, high school, middle school, and professionals are encouraged to submit entries and compete for more than $1,000 in cash prizes. High school seniors with a high-quality film submission will be considered for a UPIKE film and media arts scholarship. The festival is accepting free film submissions from filmmakers with connection to Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia, and paid film submissions from filmmakers of other states or countries. All entries must be submitted by February 24, 2019.
