A Manchester man has been sentenced for drug trafficking and firearms offenses. Jason Cottongim, 39, was sentenced on Monday, March 11, 2019 to 147 months in federal prison. Cottongim entered a guilty plea for the offenses that occurred on April 26, 2018, when he was discovered in the Save-a-lot parking lot in Manchester, armed with a loaded pistol in his pocket, and one at his feet. Additionally, officers had seized over 319 Xanax pills, scales, baggies, and over $16,000 in cash. Under federal law, Cottongim must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence and will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office for five years.
