Trio indicted for funneling 50,000 pills through Pike Co.

A federal court grand jury has indicted three people for what investigators say was an interstate drug pipeline that brought tens of thousands of prescription pills into Pike County, Ky. In November, Operation UNITE detectives and DEA agents arrested Donnie "DK" Kinder, 79, of Mouthcard; Brenda Branham, 50, of Albion, Michigan; and Janice Branham, 54, of Springport, Michigan. The indictment charges each with one count of distributing oxycodone between April 2010 and April 14, 2011 in Pike County. Following their arrests, investigators said the trio's multi-state operation was responsible for distributing more than 50,000 oxycodone pills within Pike County during a 12 month period. If convicted, the three could face a minimum sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
