Operation UNITE caps six-month investigation with twelve arrests, more coming

An undercover investigation in Perry County put twelve people behind bars. Law enforcement officials say they continue to try and rid Perry County of alleged drug dealers. It was an early unwanted Christmas present for criminals in Perry County. Operation UNITE along with local law enforcement battled the cold as they went after those who allegedly traffic drugs. The result of a six month investigation is what landed twelve of eighteen people behind bars Monday morning. Those arrested are being housed in the Kentucky River Regional Jail. Officials say they will continue to look for the people they did not arrest in the roundup.
