USPS busy, deadlines close in for Christmas mail
If you still need to mail that Christmas package, you're not alone. Officials estimate the United States Postal Service handled 800 million pieces of mail yesterday alone. The Monday before Christmas is typically the post office's busiest day of the year.
If you want a package to arrive in time for Christmas, here are a few deadlines to be aware of: today is the deadline for first class mail. If you're using priority mail, you can wait until Wednesday. Your last chance will be Thursday, but only if you're using express mail.
