Johnson Co. sheriff's office shuts down credit card scam

Johnson County Sheriff's Deputies have busted what they call a multi-state credit card scam. Investigators have recovered thousands of dollars worth of items at a home in Paintsville. All were bought with stolen credit cards and being shipped to Ghana. Johnson County Sheriff Deputies collected watches, jewelry, perfume, shoes, clothes, and dozens of other items from the home in Paintsville. Deputy Tim Clark said that this scam was wide spread. Johnson County District 2 constable Bob Hyden said this can happen anywhere, but thanks to the efforts of some hard working law enforcement officers, the scam was shut down.
