Ten arrests made in latest Floyd Co. drug roundup
Police targeted street level drug dealers in eastern Kentucky in a round-up. Seventeen arrest warrants were issued in Floyd County for alleged drug dealers. The roundup was part of an eight month investigation in which undercover officers bought prescription drugs. Floyd County Sheriff John Blackburn says increased drug trafficking is something they have come to expect during the Christmas season. Most of the pills purchased during the undercover investigation were OxyCodone or Hydrocodone pain medication. They arrested 10 of the 17 people they were looking for in the roundup--including a man from Pulaski County accused of sending drugs to an inmate at Otter Creek Correctional Center.
