Martin robbery ends in two arrests
Yesterday morning, Kentucky State Police received a call from Fast Lane Tobacco in the Martin community of Floyd County, saying they'd been robbed by two men wearing masks. The men left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
CVE Sgt. Keith Justice and Officer Dennis Hutchinson saw a man wearing clothing that matched the description of one of the suspects and conducted a traffic stop. Shane D. Howard, 20, of Allen and Travis L. Fields, 20, of Pikeville were arrested and charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree and lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center. The robbery is still under investigation by Det. Jason Dials with the Kentucky State Police.
