Three fatal crashes over the Christmas weekend
State police officials say three people died in crashes during the Christmas holiday weekend. Police say in two of those accidents, the victims were not wearing seatbelts. The crashes were in Hardin, Hart and Warren counties. More than seven hundred people have died on Kentucky roads this year. Officers say that number is down from last year thanks to law enforcement's efforts to save lives. Kentucky State Police say they will continue to serve the citizens of the commonwealth with their latest campaign: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. Troopers and law enforcement have a zero tolerance policy for anyone driving while under the influence.
