Nominees named for vacant District Court seat
The Judicial Nominating Commission on Friday announced nominees to fill the vacant District Court judgeship in the 31st Judicial District, Division 1, consisting of Floyd County. Supreme Court Justice Will T. Scott, who represents the 7th Supreme Court District, led the commission today on behalf of Chief Justice of Kentucky John D. Minton Jr. The three attorneys named as nominees to fill the vacancy are James D. Adams II, Brett D. Davis, and Jimmy R. Marcum II, all of Prestonsburg.
