Number of children injured from improperly restrained car seats "an epidemic"
Dr. Susan Pollack uses the word epidemic when describing the jump in the number of children injured in accidents because they have not been properly restrained. That trend is reflected in numbers we obtained from Kentucky State Police. The number of citations issued to caretakers not obeying the restraint laws have jumped more than fifty from last year. And sometimes not doing so can have devastating results.
If you have questions about how to properly restrain you children in safety seats, consult a professional, such as the Kentucky State Police. The KSP website has valuable information concerning properly restraining your children. It’s KentuckyStatePolice.org, and you can also visit carseat.org for information.
