Forest fires contained, burn laws still in effect
For the last few days, high wind gusts and dry weather have proved to be perfect conditions for forest fires across our area. Crews with Kentucky's Division of Forestry battled dozens of forest fires in the past few days and calls kept coming in Monday morning with more reports of fires. Thankfully no homes were burned due to the flames, but crews are continuing to work on keeping the fires contained and hope for the forecast rain to help put the flames out. Currently there are no burning bans in any county, but the burn laws are still in effect. If you see someone setting the fires, you can call the arson hotline at 1-800-27-ARSON.
