Operation UNITE, area medical professionals gather for forum on addiction
More than 125 professionals from across the region participated in an educational forum Saturday on addiction-related issues. The "Kentucky Medical Communities UNITED" program, hosted by Operation UNITE's Medical Advisory Council at Allen Baptist Church, was the first of four state-wide forums to be offered through an Appalachian Regional Commission grant. Those attending Saturday’s forum included physicians, physician assistants, nurses, dentists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, social workers, family therapists and certified alcohol and drug counselors.
