Breathitt Co. arson, shooting, and car crash case develops a new twist

It's been more than two and a half months since a bizarre incident unfolded in Breathitt County. It happened in the Wolf Creek area of the Rousseau Community on September 1st. The case centers around two people, but police are having trouble investigating the case due to communication barriers. The case involves three structure fires, a shooting and a car crash that sent one man to the hospital. At this time only the shooter has been charged with assault despite the fact police believe the fires were arson. Friday, the shooter in the case, Roger Spencer, was scheduled for arraignment in circuit court, but not on the assault charges he received for allegedly shooting at Ray Brown. Days after this event, the Breathitt County Sheriff's Office--in an unrelated search--found stolen property and drugs in Roger Spencer's home. The arraignment was continued so a court appointed translator can attend.
