Another local robbery has police asking for your help

Police are looking for leads into a Monday night robbery at the Cardinal Country Store. Lead investigator Det. Jason Dials said Tuesday that a man walked into the store around 10 p.m., brandishing a firearm and demanding money from clerks. Dials said he could not release the type of firearm the robber used at this time. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the man then fled on foot. Dials said the best he could determine from witness statements is that the man ran toward Bypro. The robber is described as being approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black mask, a white or tan hooded sweatshirt, camoflauge pants and gloves. The incident is the third in a series of robberies in the area. Anyone with information about any of these incidents is asked to contact Kentucky State Police Post 9 Pikeville at (606) 433-7711 or (800) 222-5555.
