American Cancer Society seeking volunteer drivers for patients
The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers who would like to lend a helping hand by becoming a driver for the "Road to Recovery" program. As a volunteer, drivers will transport cancer patients to and from the treatments they need. Anyone who has a driver’s license, a safe driving record, personal automobile insurance, owns a car or has access to one, and can spare as little as one morning or afternoon a month is encouraged to volunteer. The program offers flexible hours and free training. If you are interested in offering your services, contact the American Cancer Society by calling (800) 227-2345 or (606) 325-8251.
