"The Very Worst Thing" coming back to MAC
After a previous attempt was preempted, “The Very Worst Thing†is coming back to the Mountain Arts Center--and creator Michael Crisp said this year’s showing will feature new content not previously seen when the film debuted.
The annual showing of the film had originally been scheduled for the evening of March 2. That day, however, will stand in history as the day Eastern Kentucky was ravaged by a band of killer tornadoes. The showing was postponed until this Friday. The film, a documentary about the 1958 Floyd County school bus disaster that killed 27 people and stands as the nation’s worst school bus crash, opened at the MAC in 2010 to popular acclaim, and has continued to draw large crowds at subsequent showings ever since.
