Magoffin. Co. man indicted on conspicacy to distribute oxycodone
A federal indictment against a Magoffin County man arrested earlier this month has been unsealed and alleges he was part of a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone pills. Howard Harlow Back, 75, of Salyersville, was arrested March 12, after he was named in a sealed complaint. He was indicted March 22, at which time records of his prosecution became public. Back is accused of a single count of conspiring to distribute a controlled substance. According to the indictment, he allegedly conspired with others to distribute an unspecified quanity of oxycodone pills in Magoffin County, from December 2009 until February of this year. If convicted of the charge, Back could face 20 years in prison and $1 million in fines.
