Floyd County to see millions for road construction, other projects
Floyd County will see $95 million headed its way for road projects, following the legislature’s passage of a new two-year road plan. The bulk of that money — $80 million — will be spent on continued construction of the Minnie-to-Harold Route 680 connector. As reported earlier, Floyd County will also be receiving over $4 million for 61 coal severance tax-funded projects, bringing the county’s haul from this year’s regular and special legislative sessions to just shy of $100 million.
