East Ky. Science Center plans its 4th annual Astronomy Day
The East Kentucky Science Center has a lot planned within its confines for its fourth annual Astronomy Day celebration this weekend, and even more without, if the weather cooperates.
The Center will be hosting a variety of free activities on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including planetarium shows, exhibits and demonstrations. The list of activities will only grow in the event of good weather, but that might be a stretch, admits center Director Steven Russo. Current forecasts call for overcast skies at a minimum, with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms in the region.
