Jury selection begins in four year old murder case

A four-year-old murder case appears to ready to finally be heard in court next week as jury selection was under way Monday in Floyd County Circuit Court for the trial of Berry Hall. Hall, 49, was arrested in 2008 on charges that he shot and killed his niece, 30-year-old Lisa Tackett, and her husband, 47-year-old Alan Tackett. Hall is charged with two counts of murder and four counts of wanton endangerment.

According to Commonwealth's Attorney Arnold Brent Turner, the court is currently going through jury selection for the trial. Turner says the early rounds of jury selection focus on whether or not someone is willing to consider all possible punishments, including the death penalty.
