Man indicted over feeding tube removal

A man charged with pulling out his brother’s feeding tube heads the list of various indictments handed down by the March convening of the Pike County grand jury.

According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Bartley, Jonah R. Taylor, 44, of Stopover, is charged with second-degree assault of David Ferrell. The brothers were at Ferrell’s residence, Bartley said, when a disagreement apparently escalated and became physical, and Taylor allegedly pulled the tube from Ferrell’s stomach. He said there was no serious or lasting damage to the alleged victim.
