A Kentucky lawmaker wants armed officers at all KY. public schools
An Eastern Kentucky lawmaker says the state needs to study whether it can put armed officers and metal detectors in all of Ky's public schools in the wake of the recent school shootings. State Rep. Richard Henderson of Mount Sterling stated on Monday that he would form a task force to look into the matter. Currently there are 221 public schools in the state with on site officers. The officers are trained to work with youth in a school setting and most of the officers also carry firearms.
