Stumbo "not necessarily" considering 2015 gubernatorial bid

House Speaker Greg Stumbo says he is "not necessarily" interested in running for governor in 2015 despite several other prominent state Democrats are considering bids.

The Floyd County Democrat told reporters on Friday that he enjoys his leadership position in the House. Other potential Democratic candidates include Lt. Governor Jerry Abramson, Auditor Adam Edelen, Attorney General Jack Conway, Secretary of State Alison Grimes, former Audior Crit Luallen, and former Lt. Governer Daniel Mongiardo.

The list of Republicans who have been mentioned is shorter. Louisville businessman Phil Moffet has been frequently discussed, as have U.S. Representative Brett Guthrie and Agriculture Commissioner James Comer.
