School bus accident in Perry Co.
A school bus accident has sent several people to the hospital.
A Perry County school bus and a pickup truck collided just before 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon. It happened on Highway 80, near the Knott County line. Officials say a passenger in the truck suffered the worst injuries but they are not believed to be life-threatening. He was flown to Holsten Valley in Tennessee. The driver of the truck, along with six students on the bus and the bus driver were taken to the hospital, mainly as a precaution. A firefighter says the truck was on fire right after the collision but it was quickly put out.
