Ky. Educational Standards Board suspends educational certificates after ACT cheating investigation
This week the Kentucky Educational Standards Board suspended the educational certificates of two Perry County School employees connected to an ACT cheating investigation.
The Hazard Herald reports the ACT organization forwarded their investigation to the EPSB following allegations that test scores for several students at Perry County Central and Buckhorn High School had been altered. The EPSB then opened cases on five employees; so far, two of Jonathan Jett's educational certificates have been suspended. Jett was the Assessment Coordinator at the time. The EPSB also suspended the educational certificate of a teacher, Rebecca Dobson, who was the Testing Accommodations Coordinator. An ACT complaint says her fingerprints were on the tests in question. Jett and Dobson still deny any wrongdoing.
