Search is on for driver who tried to run down Hazard officer
Hazard Police say an unidentified person driving an SUV allegedly tried to run over a Hazard Police Officer on Morton Boulevard near the Hazard ARH. Officials at the scene say the officer then shot out the tire of that SUV. No injuries have been reported. Kentucky State Police, who are in charge of the case, say at least one person has been detained but the search continues for others that could be involved. Officials are not releasing any more information right now.
