EQT will still build HQ in Pike Co. despite drilling suspension
Pike County officials say EQT's suspension on drilling in eastern Kentucky will not affect the EQT headquarters being built in Pike County. Last week, EQT suspended new drilling operations in the area due to falling natural gas prices. Thirty-nine jobs are being transferred from Pike County to other states. However, county officials say the construction on the new EQT headquarters at Scott Fork is on schedule and EQT will still have 200 new jobs at the plant.
