Commercial airport for Pike Co. put on hold
Pike county officials say that their plans for a commercial airline have been put on hold.
While the Pike County Airport Board wants to use their slice of coal severance money to start funding the project, others in the local government think that they are rushing in without thinking the whole project through. Pike County Judge Executive Wayne Rutherford said that they are 100% behind a commercial airport project, but the question is how to most responsibly fund it.
