Over a dozen ambulances without air conditioning prompts investigation
And an investigation is underway after officials learned that one eastern Kentucky ambulance service doesn't have air conditioning in all their ambulances.
Officials with the Kentucky Board of EMS say they received several complaints about QuestCare Ambulance Services and. following up on them, have found various violations including a lack of air conditioning in more than a dozen of its ambulances. They are now investigating more deeply..
With the already hot temperatures of the season they are worried about how patients can be treated properly in ambulances that aren't air conditioned. Officials would not say what the other violations were, but they have informed QuestCare of the result of a preliminary hearing they held, and that they can either settle with the board or appeal for another hearing.
