Stolen heat pump means closure of Stumbo Park community center

The community center at Stumbo Park will remain closed--indefinitely--because someone stole their heating pump.

Judge Executive Doc Marshall said that he hates to close the center but he didn't really have any choice. He also said that the county will have to wait for insurance to replace the heat pump, which was valued around $8,000. This heat pump weighed 4 tons and officials think it was stolen sometime Sunday evening but they aren't certain.
