Kentuckians asked to be responsible with fireworks during drought

Kentuckians are being urged to use extreme caution when using fireworks this summer.

The Kentucky Division of Forestry and the Division of Fire Prevention would like to remind everyone to be safe with fireworks on the Fourth, especially with this dry weather. Kentucky firefighters have been busy throughout the month of June because of wildfires all over the state due to the drought. They are urging everyone to remember their basic safety precautions and to please observe any local burn bans that may be in effect.
