Salyersville educators work to ease students' fears, get everything back to normal after tornadoes
Salyersville Grade School teachers are still working to reestablish a sense of normalcy for their students.
The "do not enter" sign on the old Salyersville Grade School serves as a somber reminder of the devastation caused by the March 2nd tornado. Teachers hope a new Weatherbug program will alleviate students' fears by familarizing them with all weather patterns. Employees say the program gives students the educational tools to fight their fear of storms and help students and staff create a "new normal" for their school.
