Louisa woman accused of lying about being tornado victim
A Louisa woman is now behind bars after police say she lied about being a tornado victim.
Authorities say 31-year-old Christy Thompson checked into a temporary housing facility where she allegedly had a party, which resulted in more than $500 of damage to a cabin. Officials say they went to Thompson's home and found it had not been affected by the storm. She is charged with false swearing, criminal mischief and falsely reporting an incident.
