KSP sends a warning to those who might steal from donations

State Police are warning people about those who would advantage of kindness and the chaos of the situation in storm-ravaged areas. Kentucky State Police say that some in West Liberty have already stopped potential thieves. Those working inside the Index Community Center behind Index Community Church admit it's hard to believe anyone would take the donations and supplies if they didn't really need them. But, police say that's exactly what's happened in several cases.

The most recent case involved a woman posing as a volunteer. But rather than taking goods to other churches or distribution centers, officers say she was taking goods to her home. Officers also arrested another man for stealing goods last week.

Now, KSP is issuing a warning to anyone trying to take advantage of charity. Volunteers say they won't let a few trying to take advantage ruin all the good they're doing.
