Donations for storm victims quickly pouring in

It’s no surprise that workers with the Christian Appalachian Project say people apparently couldn't wait to start giving. They say when they showed up at the trailer at noon Monday to begin taking donations, there was already a pile waiting to be loaded. They say the donations are coming in just as quickly as the storms did Friday night. Donations of bedding, cleaning supplies, non-perishable food and baby items such as diapers and formula are still being taken at WQHY FM studios in Prestonsburg, City Hall in Prestonsburg, the Floyd County clerk’s office, as well as Appalachian Hospice Care just to name a few.
