Missing MSU student turns up

A university student who went missing last Wednesday has turned up alive and well.

Morehead State University student Daniel Hiser's bumper and license plate were found outside a building in Elliotville on Rt. 32. His Ford Expedition struck the building, but left, and neither it nor he were found. When friends and family couldn't reach him for days and he missed finals, police undertook a massive search.

His parents received a call Sunday from their son, who offered no explanation or further information, but told them he was okay. The call came from somewhere in New Mexico.

His family have openly thanked all the law enforcement agencies and officials involved with the search.
