Fatal crash in on Rt. 114 Prestonsburg
One is dead and three injured after a head-on collision in Prestonsburg.
Police say it appears James Mace was headed east on Ky. Rt. 114 in a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu when he crossed the center line and struck 63-year-old Brenda Montgomery's Dodge Caliber. Montgomery was taken to Highlands Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead by Floyd Co. Coroner Greg Nelson.
Elsie Oakley, a passenger in Montgomery's vehicle, as also taken to Highlands and then to Cabell Huntington Hospital. Both James Mace and his passenger, Jonathan Crider, were taken to Cabell Huntington as well. The status of those injured is not yet known.
