Floyd Co. man jailed for multiple assaults
A Floyd County man has been jailed, after police say he assaulted the same man twice in as many weeks.
According to court records, Joey Lewis, age 28, of Banner, allegedly attacked William Hall, Jr. at the BP station in Ivel--reportedly stabbing him with a carpenter's knife and a screwdriver. Lewis is alleged to have broken Hall's nose and bitten a chunk out of his back--and this isn't even the first time he'd been targeted.
According to other court and police records, on April 26, Lewis is said to have attacked Hall by throwing things at him. On that day, he was cited for destruction of property after he came onto Alta Clark's property and threw pieces of asphalt, causing nearly $1,000 in damages to her car.
Lewis has been charged with first degree assault and fourth degree assault for his scuffle with Hall, and charged with third degree criminal trespassing and menacing for his other actions.
