Ashland sex offender indicted for using social media
An Ashland man arrested for not meeting the terms of the Kentucky Sexual Offender Register has been indicted by a Boyd County grand jury. Kentucky State Police arrested Charles Eric Waugh, age 31, last week. He was indicted Monday.
In 2008, Waugh pleaded guilty to having child pornography on his computer--and was put on probation. Prosecutors say he violated his parole by failing to disclose his Facebook account, Twitter account and e-mail addresses to his parole officer. The issue came to light when an Ohio State recruit's father saw his son in a picture posted by Waugh. According to prosecutors, a registered sex offender can't use social media at all.
