Five charged for attempting to sell marijuana in Pike Co. jail
Five people are facing federal charges over what authorites say was a conspiracy to sell marijuana to inmates at the Pike County Detension Center while three of them were incarcerated there, awaiting sentencing on federal charges of selling oxycontin.
Justin Dennis Mosley, Billie Lou Mosley, Arnold Mosley, Jr., Arnold Mosley III, and Clyde Glenn Kennedy II were indicted May 4 by a federal grand jury on multiple charges. Justin Dennis Mosley faces two counts of distributing marijuana, and all five them face one count of attempting to introduce contraband in the jail.
All five appeared May 9 in U.S. District Court in Pikeville to plead not guilty. A trial is set for June 18.
