New scholarship in memoriam of Perry Co. teacher

A new scholarship has been created to honor a former teacher who died in a traffic accident. Terri Lynn Moore, a 44-year-old educator who had spent 23 years teaching in the Perry County school system, died earlier this year after an accident on Highway 15 near the Perry-Breathitt County line. The Hazard Herald reports the scholarship will go to exceptional students that graduate from Big Creek Elementary to help them further their educational goals.
