LIHEAP funds now available
The Big Sandy Area Community Action Program (BSACAP) has been notified that the funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been released as of Tuesday, November 13. If your household has been approved for assistance, your voucher will be forwarded to the appropriate vendor. Wood and coal vendors must contact the respective county service offices to schedule a time to pick up their vouchers.
BSACAP, which operates the Floyd County program, and Johnson, Martin, Magoffin, and Pike County programs, will continue to accept applications until December 14. If you have not applied for LIHEAP assistance, visit your county service office to do so.
